The new way to team with horses!!
Even as a young child, I was fascinated by the nature of horse. The union of beauty, power and gentleness, the shiny fur and their curiosity captivated me ever since I can remember.
At the age of 5 I was able to gain my first experiences on a Shetland pony. A little later I consolidated my seat with vaulting and various riding lessons. My mother always supported me (and my sister). Then it happened, when I was 11 years old, that a good acquaintance of us left us her Haflinger gelding "Gringo" for a few months. I had a lot of interesting experiences with him by riding in the nature. Over the years we got from the same acquaintance different Shagya-Arabians for riding and training. Then in 1992 the Frisian mare "Tounga" came to us and remained with us for almost 25 years.
After school and a then a year in The Welschland, I then worked for a year on an Icelandic farm in Chur and got to know the healing pedagogical riding. I was allowed to teach children, train young horses and did all the stable work.
In the meantime, our Friesian mare had got a foal - Malik. He still accompanies me today - for almost 25 years! When I turned 19, I came into contact with the Parelli method and trained Malik with the help of various Parelli instructors. Many courses (especially with Berni Zambail) and intensive self-study took me to level 3.
About 16 years ago, my Haflinger "Prince" came into my life. He is a very intense teacher who teaches me patience, leadership, consistency, fairness, self-reflection and much more. Yes, even today he demands my concentration and presence every day!
For 20 years I have been teaching (becoming) horse people with their own horses: children, young people as wel as people in difficult life situations. The realization that horses can honestly and unadulteratedly mirror their counterparts and create a connection on a very special level led me to complete the training as a "horse-supported coach" in the Queensranch Academy. It is an extremely interesting and enriching work with horses and people, far beyond the horizon of the horsemanship.
In 2019 I met Chantal Karrer and the whole "dolphin team". Dolphin horse training is exactly what I have been looking for for a long time. The very conscious praise, the refined communication, the working with several horses and the positivity immediately appealed to me. It is an excellent addition to my previous experience.
My work as a coach for dolphin horse training enriches not only the relationship with my horses and students, but also my life outside the "horse world"!
